Nyssa is one of a kind. She is the most talented, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly violin teacher. My kids have improved so much since they have taken lessons with her. My 11 year old was able to move from regular orchestra class to honors orchestra because of Nyssa’s wonderful teaching skills. Nyssa Rabinowitz is an amazing private violin/viola teacher! She has taught several of my students over the last few years and always makes sure they’re prepared for any upcoming performance or recital. She carefully and constructively designs a proper pedagogical path for each and every student to follow. Nyssa understands how to properly balance a lesson with scales, etudes, solo repertoire, and many other technical exercises essential to string player’s development. She has an amazing rapport with parents and students in her studio. Nyssa truly cares about each and every one of her private students and is able to connect with them immediately. She has high expectations for her students. Nyssa expects her students to be determined and committed to practicing and following her guidance and instruction. Nyssa is great in working with students of all ages, as early as kindergarten through high school! Nyssa also works with Detroit Country Day Schools, where she runs an early beginning violin program, and Oakland Youth Orchestras, where she runs sectionals and the chamber music programs for the string orchestras.
